YARD BOAT STORAGE – is $38 per foot plus tax and must be paid in full before boat is hauled from water.  Storage price includes hauling, bottom wash (heavy barnacle growth extra), blocking, water, use of electricity and spring launch.  Extension cords and hoses are NOT supplied.  We will measure boats when pulled from water, if length is different then registered, we will adjust the charge accordingly.  Boats in storage must leave storage yard by May 15th.  Boats remaining in yard after June 1st will be charged $25 per day.  Sailboats will NOT be stored with mast up or on cradle.  Sailboat owner must supply own jack stands or stands can be purchased from Ralphs.  Please remove all canvas.  Ralph’s is not liable for damage or loss to canvas not taken off boat. Owners are responsible for removal of drain plug and for installation of same in the spring when boat is launched.  Ralph’s is not responsible for damage to guard rails or boat structures if proven that they were weak at the time of hauling or launching.  Electricity is available for use while boat owner is ON the boat.  For safety reasons, electricity cannot be used while boat is unattended.

MAINTENANCE – Ralph’s will not be responsible for theft or damage caused for any reason beyond our control.   We ask all of our storage customers to please keep area surrounding your boat or trailer clean of debris.  If we have to clean up your area, we will charge a fee of $150.  No outside labor or independent contractors are permitted to work in Ralph’s storage yard unless permission is obtained by Ralph or Jeff.  We will require proof of liability and compensation insurance.

SERVICE – If you would like your boat serviced (winterize motor, shrink wrap, etc.), please fill out the enclosed Service Work Order or call the Service Dept. @ 631-473-6655.  There will be a separate charge for this service.  No work will be done unless requested.  There will be a charge to unwrap your boat and dispose of wrap in the spring.  NYS DEC enforces strict bottom painting regulations.  Customers in winter storage cannot paint their own boat bottom. All owners who do their own winterizing MUST use approved non-toxic antifreeze.  Waste tanks must be empty before boat is stored.

Boat and/or Trailer owner should review their insurance policy to make sure they are up to date.  Ralph’s is not responsible for fire, theft, vandalism, weather or acts of God which may cause damage to either boat, motor, trailer, stern drive or camper trailer while in for winter storage.  By signing this contract, the boat owner assumes any and all responsibility for such loss including outboards and stern drives.
