MOORING LBS.______________DROP LOCATION REQUESTED____________________________________
MOORING
DROP 30 cents per lb. - Copy
of Permit - Labor to inspect, repair & paint $30.
Materials additional. Before any mooring is dropped in Mt. Sinai
Harbor, a permit must be issued from the Town of Brookhaven. The mooring must be inspected to ensure compliance
with town code. Ralph’s will inspect
the mooring, paint the buoy and make any repairs necessary for the price of
$30 labor, plus materials. We use
only American made hot dipped galvanized chain and shackles. Repair charges and drop fees must be Paid
in full before mooring will be dropped.
Ralph’s will attempt to put the mooring in a requested location, however Ralph’s cannot guarantee that the mooring will be placed precisely where requested. If unable to place mooring in requested spot, Ralph’s will drop it as close as possible, unless an alternate spot has been previously selected. Once the mooring is dropped, there will be a relocating fee of $.40 per pound if the owner wants it to be moved.
Occasionally, a mooring will move from its original location. This can occur due to high winds or chain becoming tangled on the anchor shank, which causes the scope to shorten. Backing down on the mooring when tying up will help untangle the chain and prevent dragging.
When putting your boat on your mooring for the first time, if you find that it is too close to another boat, please notify Ralph’s immediately and we will move the mooring as necessary free of charge. After 30 days a relocating fee will be charged.
By tying your boat
or allowing your boat to be tied to your mooring, you the boat owner recognizes
and assumes any and all responsibility for damage caused to either your boat or
other watercraft, including equipment fixtures and contents, resulting from
tying your boat to your mooring. The
sole liability of Ralph’s will be to move such mooring as soon as possible.
Moorings not going in the water this season MUST be PICKED
UP BY JUNE 30TH. Ralph’s is not
responsible for any mooring left in our yard over the summer.
BEFORE ARRIVING WITH YOUR BOAT,
CALL TO MAKE SURE YOUR MOORING IS IN THE WATER.
